Lexus IS-F outside Best Buy

Earlier this month, I picked up a 2009 Lexus IS-F from Lexus Canada, and over the course of a week, had the most fun I’ve ever had in a car.

Everything happens very fast with the IS-F—I only had to drive Lexus’ super sedan five seconds before I knew it was something special, and a further two minutes and a hop on the highway before I was absolutely blown away. In all my life, I’ve never driven anything so fast.

During my time with the IS-F, I took well over a thousand photos, so the plan is to post a selection of those images throughout this week, along with my full review and some stories I’ve been saving for the occasion.

The IS-F is one helluva car. Car & Driver got a 0-60 mph time of 4.2 seconds with the IS-F. That’s genuine SUPERCAR pace.
PS- Krew, can you post some interior night shots like you took with the LX. Thanks.
( Note the beautifully contrasting blue pointers in the speedo & tacho, the regular IS sedans don’t have that. )

What’s the top speed of the IS-F & did you try reaching it, Krew ?
Also looks like the 19” wheels have chrome trim on the spokes. Is that optional ? Thought the wheels came only with full dark graphite finish.
