Lexus LS 460 Crashes, Audience Claps
As a rule, I avoid posting any crash videos, but I suspect the only thing injured in this Tatry Donau Cup race footage is the driver’s pride:
At least the crowd was entertained. Really though, who enters a race in a LS?
Update: Looks like the LS driver wasn’t the only one who had a problem on this corner.

the poor thing squealed…must’ve been going well over 100 to lose control like that…thankfully no crucial damage.
heh heh krew i can imagine you when you get rich driving like that and you total a new $247K 2021 LS850hL and just go “woops, better get a new one ill be right back”
he literally turned in too late, plus that is a damn sharp corner after a straight
Despite the fact that LS is not a racing or sport car, the driver is abvouisly not a race driver. It seems that the anti-slipping mode is not turned off, the car is so solid and stuck to the ground.
I thought the thing about Lexus’ VDIM and fancy stability and traction management systems are supposed to prevent the crash??
they can be turned off and probably were since it would have given him a slower lap time.
I don’t think any technology is going to stop people from driving poorly. Obviously this driver didn’t know what they was doing.
I wonder if the airbags would have went off?
after watching it 139 times in a row…i really did…i concluded that 1.) the driver didnt see it coming, 2.) the driver sucks at driving, 3.) the airbags went off, seeing how the right hand front took most of the damage. i read in my own Lexus manual that the easiest way to trigger the airbags is for a side accident at speeds over 75mph, which he was clearly going…
oh i also forgot to mention this has one of those optional signal lights on side above the wheels, and the first part to crash was the right tire. at 0:03 he presses the brakes which causes the car to turn to the left with steering and thus not completely get totaled.
ps why does it look like the brake signal gets faulty? when he brakes, it starts to flicker and then stops, while the brake lights in the tail light remain on…
