New Lexus RX Commerical: We’ve Never Been Closer
This new RX 350 commercial from Lexus Australia is an absolutely literal interpretation of the slogan “The Pursuit of Perfection”:
Just what is that Lexus RX going to do when it catches perfection?

I didn’t like it. The accent is one thing but this commercial was kind of scary. Like there isn’t enough scariness in the world right now…
I thought the same thing—a bit too creepy for my tastes.
It reminds me of the GS ad where the car is racing/chasing by a jaguar cat. And contrasts quite differently with Lexus South Africa’s perfection ads which end with “obsessive? maybe.”
That was the commercial I thought of—if I recall correctly it was Russian.
(I don’t think I ever wrote up that commercial, time to fix that.)
Kind of an odd ad. If I wanted to send a message of Lexus’ dedication to the pursuit of perfection I would have shown previous generations of the RX and how it created the luxury crossover segment.
Kind of like the Mercedes SL ‘Timeless’ ad that was directed by Michael Bay.
