2010 Lexus ES 350?

It looks like the rumor of a 2010 Lexus ES facelift is right on the mark, as blogger Vince Burlapp has posted a blurry photo of an ES with a revised front-end.
The headlight treatment does seem a little derivative, but I really like the new grille. It has a strong, unique look, especially when you consider the current design.
There is a possibility this image is fake, but I’m inclined to believe it real. In fact, I’ve been told the new grille would resemble the LF-Xh, and that certainly holds up here.
One last interesting thing — there seems to be a blue tint to the Lexus logo. An ES hybrid, perhaps?

Interesting, it also is similar to some Japanese magazine reports on what the refreshed LS 460 will look like. However, I’m intrigued by the Burlapp reiteration of ‘this is the last ES to be Camry based’ - rumor?
I was ready to mention the blue tent on the logo. I think it’s a combination, a facelift as well as a hybrid version. The ES and IS are the two remaining cars in the lexis lineup that should actually have a hybrid version for better mileage.
On a side note I wonder if there will not be an IS hybrid because it will eat into the HS sales.
To me this is an ES hybrid but the facelift might not carry over to the non hybrid
I liked the current ES’s grille…more depth…and the details fit the car perfectly.
The picture above looks a bit more grown up in an “LS fashion” - aka: more boring. Also, the car shown makes the ES even more Camry-ish, and worse, Hyundai-ish.
Save for the LX, I guess it’s true that every Lexus will have hybrid engines
I CAN SEE IN THE PICTURE BLUE BADGE(HIBRID) IN THE CAR.
COULD BE THE NEW LEXUS SH 250h OR NOT.
I feel like it looks too much like an ES size, the HS seems like it will be a little smaller, something between the IS and ES
It appears to have signals in the side mirrors as well.
Remember the photos you had from the post by the Erie Hiker? The white car? That looks like the ES Hybrid. It does not have the lighted side mirrors, though. I guess it could be added at the end, eh?
Which magazines did you see this info in? Any chance it’s online somewhere?
I don’t know about this “last Camry-based ES”, it doesn’t seem that cost-efficient. However, it isn’t that hard to picture the ES on the GS/Crown platform.
I don’t think the HS is going to look this much like an ES.
I’m not sure, do the front air vents look different than the current ES model?
The extra air intake reminded me of the difference between the Hybrid RX and the gas RX. The RXh has additional air intakes in the bumper.
That’s why I think this is a Hybrid ES. Maybe an ES 450h? Maybe a 2011 model?
That’s a pretty dramatic face-lift. I wonder how the rear looks like.
Odd how some Lexus’ receive subtle mid life refreshes (like the IS, GS, GX, and current RX) while others (ES, last generation LS, and 1st generation RX) get a more extensive refresh.
Yeah, I thought the GS refresh was especially subtle—the model could have used something a little more dramatic.
I’ll investigate.
this looks alot like the HS.look at the rear, it has the same high put gap as the spy shots and the headlights look reassuring like it.also notice the mirror flash of this and the spy shots. u never know
I OWN LEXUS 330 ES. MOST EXPENSIVE AND BEST CAR I EVER BOUGHT.
HATE TO BE PICKY BUT THE ONLY WRONG WITH THIS CAR IN THE FIVE YEARS I OWN IT IS THE PLASTIC VENT COVER ON THE FRONT RIGHT SIDE OF THE WINDSHELD DOES NOT STAY IN PLACE.
ADDITIONALLY I REPLACED THE “SUMMER TIRES” AT 36,500 MILES WITH MICHILEN EXALTO AS 45K 215/60VR16.
DID I DO THE RIGHT THING? COMMENTS?
Did you bring it into the dealership to have them look at your vent cover? I’m sure they would be happy to take care of it.
your comment is childish. these are the very best entry level car and affordable. Look at the US auto industry, gas guzlers, no unique design, heres example
Cadillac SUV looks exactly TAHO suv, most GM cars looks exactly like chevy plateform. GM decide to DUMP Pontiac the Hedious design.
instead of critisizing on foreign automakers and teeling people to buy american autos , why dont us autos make cars more appealing, good on gas, good Reliability then i am sure people will buy us cars. I love us cars but i dont want to make more offen visit to mechanic shop.
Plus toyota and honda are build here in USA and providing thousands of jobs to american peoples. this is 2009 info tech ERA, wake up before its tooo late. try to compete with other countries instead preaching people to buy us products. and all the rich people proudly buy european exports, why dont you preach them to buy us cars heres example bmw, mercedez benz, audi etc etc
A bump from the dead. Here a actual pix floating around the other side of the globe. It said its in Japan but I highly doubt it. The background indicates either China, HK or Taiwan.

The license plates don’t remind me of mainland China.
But aside from that weird Lincoln Mark LT-type Camry, that ES is… wow… only the change in the taillights is acceptable.
The foglights might be retaining its chrome… the grille might be more imposing… but this is one UGLY facelift.
One thing that keeps my spirits up is that foreign markets tend to have slightly different foglights. This might have been imported through another country’s gray market, and someone just added those mirrors from another model for fun.
