Bizarre 2010 Lexus RX Feature from Car & Driver
This Car & Driver video preview of the new 2010 Lexus RX is worth watching if only for the last ten seconds:
The all-German diesel comparisons were funny enough, but I had to rewind the closing remarks three times before I could watch it without laughing. Seriously, what strange circumstances had to occur where an obviously biased member of C&D’s German Bureau is brought in to film a Lexus preview? He even smirks at the end!

lol
I saw this review about a week ago. I never bothered posting it on my website simply because of the closing remark. The guy is indeed biased.
Even the remark about the LED headlights “They look very cool” says enough. He has no idea of what cool is(lets not talk about the LED advantages…)
This guy, man….. so many remarks come to mind, but this is not the place to post those
LOL, honestly I think it was not a very serious video anyhow, it seems like he was reading off cue cards. He even says the RX 450h makes ‘290 hp’ which leaves off 5 hp. Sad, C&D has gone downhill in recent years, and the current crop put their fan hats first, facts second.
All I could think of at the end of the video is: ‘‘What an idiot’‘.
I debated posting it myself, but couldn’t resist, the ending was just too funny.

Although Jeremy wanted (badly)to bash the IS-F, he was defintely surprised by that car.
Thanks, Hube. I just posted about the Top Gear feature here:

The guy is irrelevant
The Lexus will sell, but IS a poor redesign
Doesn’t look as good, inside or out, as the current RX, gained too much weight, which doesn’t benefit in anyway, and doesn’t match the competition in power to compensate.
That said, the diesels I’ve seen don’t get 27 MPG overall, or perform on par with the RX, so the Hybrid is still the premier drivetrain in this class.
Unfortunately, expect slower 0-60 times around 7.5

You’re welcome krew, I am just happy I can do something back for you and your website, which is the best place to go to for lexus news.
Just catching up with all the comments—I couldn’t disagree more in regards to the new RX design, I think the exterior is a pitch-perfect evolution and the interior is daring and revolutionary.
My one and only real problem with the exterior is the same problem I have with most vehicles, too much wheel-to-fender gap.
i don’t really get how that’s funny
It’s funny because of how ridiculously bias the presenter is—it’s obvious he has a strong dislike for Lexus and shouldn’t really be representing Car & Driver.
