SEMA 2007: Lexus to Launch Performance Accessory Line

Lots of SEMA news today, starting with the announcement of a new performance accessory line from Lexus:
“The SEMA Show is the premier automotive specialty products trade event in the world, and Lexus is thrilled to participate this year,” said Brian Bolain, National Lexus Interactive and Automotive Events Manager. “SEMA is the perfect venue for the launch of our new performance line, to display our performance-oriented project vehicles and showcase our all-new Lexus IS F high-performance sport sedan.”
Lexus will premier the new performance accessory line at a noon press conference on October 30. The press conference will be in the Lexus exhibit tent located outside adjacent to the Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center.
No mention of what type of performance add-ons will be made available, but this strikes me as something with real potential. By recognizing the need for enthusiast customization, Lexus is bringing their new focus on performance to their existing linup, and not just focusing on the F-line.
Also, as mentioned in the quote above, Lexus has also brought in aftermarket tuners to create a number of project cars. The following is the full list of the SEMA lineup:
- IS-F by 5 Axis Models
- SC 430 by BRS Autodesign
- GS 430 by Greddy
- GS 430 by Blitz
- LS 460 by VIP Autosalon
- LS 460 by Fesler Productions
- LS 460 by CEC Wheels
- RX 400h by 714 Motorsports
- IS 350 concept by TRD
